The Antioch Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that left a 43-year-old man dead Wednesday night.
On January 10, 2024, at approximately 8:18 pm Antioch Police Officers were dispatched to 900 Block of Fitzuren Road on a report of shots fired. Officers arrived and located a 43-year-old male from Antioch with multiple gunshot wounds. Officers rendered first aid to the victim who succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene by Paramedics.
Antioch Police Detectives were notified and are conducting this active investigation. We are withholding the name of the decedent until proper family notification has been made. No further information will be provided at this time.

It’s a wonderful place is in the rear view mirror. Antioch is anything but now. From horrible leadership that can’t lead to an even worse influx of people who think a productive goal is to exist by taking from others, Antioch can’t be the “wonderful” example it’s used to be.

Lived in antioch as a kid …moved away in 2nd grade…ended up back here in my mid thirties and it’s pretty amazing how bad this town is these days. I’ve lived in not so great parts of hayward and even east oakland for a short while and antioch is pretty bad for being a smallish sized city that it is. It’s like a perfect s**t storm of circumstances that make me grateful for the 2nd amendment around here. Just my thoughts
