Antioch Police Investigate Friday Morning Shooting

At 8:00 am Friday, the Antioch Police Department respond to report of multiple shots fired on Mark Twain Drive in the City of Antioch.

It originally came in as three people were shot which prompted AMR and Contra Costa County Fire Protection District to stage, however, it was later determined the three people were shot at by a subject known to the victims.

According to preliminary information, a male was observed breaking windows of a vehicle and when a male pulled up to the house, the suspect fired four shots at the victim before fleeing. No injuries were reported.

According to the victim, the male was also shot at by the suspect in the area of Hillcrest near Highway 4. However, police were unable to confirm a shooting in that area occurred.

As of 10:00 am, the suspect was not in custody.

Antioch Police was assisted by the Brentwood Police Department on the incident by providing drone support from the air to help locate a possible suspect. A total of four casings were recovered, but its estimated more shots were fired.

No other information was released in the incident.

Man Shot Thursday:

At 8:00 pm Thursday, the Antioch Police Department responded to the area of Devpar and Sunset for a report of a man shot in the shoulder. Units arrived on scene and confirmed a male had been shot, but the victim could not be located. It was later determined the subject, who is wanted on a warrant, did not want to be located. No other information has been released.
