San Jose Police announced the arrest of an Antioch man they say is responsible for at least six bank robberies. A woman was identified as the getaway driver in all six robberies.

The suspects were identified Brandon Lopez, 37, and Tamara Bush, 43, both of the City of Antioch.

According to police, on February 12, 2024, San José Police Department Officers responded to a bank located in the 500 block of West Capitol Expressway for a report of a robbery.

An unknown adult male suspect entered the bank, passed a note to the teller and demanded money. The suspect took over $1,000 in cash and then fled the area on foot.

San José Police Department Robbery Unit Detectives immediately took over the investigation and identified the primary suspect as Brandon Lopez. During the course of the investigation, Detectives determined that suspect Lopez was responsible for five other bank robberies throughout Northern California, including Modesto, Milpitas (attempted), Fremont, and two incidents in Sacramento (one attempted). In those incidents, suspect Lopez also produced a bank note to the teller demanding money. Detectives also identified suspect Tamara Bush as the getaway driver for all six robberies.

On March 6, 2024, a search warrant was served at suspect Lopez’s residence in the city of Antioch. During the execution of the search, an unregistered loaded Glock and ammunition were located.

Both suspects were taken into custody and booked into Santa Clara County Mail Jail for robbery charges. Suspects Lopez and Bush are also awaiting additional charges in other counties.
