Note:

This is the second major crash in East Contra Costa County in two days. On Thursday, Antioch Police officers were dispatched to the above intersection on the report of a traffic collision involving a passenger vehicle and a Tri Delta Transit bus. Upon arrival, officers determined the driver of the passenger vehicle accidentally went through the intersection against a red traffic signal colliding with the rear portion of the bus.

Seven passengers on the bus had complaints of pain and were transported by ambulance to local area hospitals. The driver of the passenger vehicle was also transported to a local area hospital by ambulance for a non-life-threatening injury. Drugs, alcohol, or excessive speed were not factors in the collision — see story

Is Burgis doing anything to improve Vasco Rd safety? Supervisor Piepho was able to accomplish many improvements.

Was Diane driving these vehicles? Maybe the drivers should take some responsibility

“Red vehicle made illegal U-turn”. Hey, red car driver, are you happy now, asshole? I hope this serves as a wake up call. I am SICK TO DEATH of shitty, rude, entitled, reckless drivers!

100% right. The car that struck the red car was carrying one of my daughter’s best friends. She was airlifted to UC Davis. I hope everything terrible happens to the driver of that red car.

Hey, you know what would prevent an illegal u-turn? A center divider. What a concept. People keep getting more careless and inconsiderate with their driving and can’t drive to save their lives, literally; compounded with practically zero enforcement of poor driving. People don’t know or care to know the traffic code, I see it all day long in Antioch. We need to have some safety improvements on these very dangerous roads like Vasco, and we’ve needed them for years. Our supervisors are completely misrepresenting us on something we actually need in our county. Nothing will happen. Se you all in a couple weeks for the next major Vasco crash covered here at CC.N

If the CHP wasn’t so busy wiping Oaklands and every other shithole city’s ass they could be out in force more.
