SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY – Caltrans will perform a third consecutive night of 8-hour full highway closures for the safety of workers and motorists for testing operations of the State Route 4 Old River Bridge, located at the San Joaquin/Contra Costa County line, east of Discovery Bay.

This testing is required as completion nears for the on-going bridge preventative maintenance and rehabilitation project that will make necessary upgrades and repairs of the Old River Bridge,

Overnight closures will continue beginning at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, until 4:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, 2024. During these closures, the following detour will be required;
