Thurmond Calls for Investigation into Trump Endorsement Video by Sheriff Bianco

by CC News
Chad Bianco

State Superintendent of Public Instruction Tony Thurmond is calling for a formal investigation into Riverside Sheriff Chad Bianco.

Thurmond is calling for the investigation into a video by Sheriff Bianco who is calling to put a “felon in the White House” and endorsing Donald Trump. The video was made in his sheriff’s uniform while also being critical of the governor, state officials and laws supporting criminals versus the victims.

Thurmond, who is running for California Governor, says that California law enforcement officers, elected or not, are not allowed to make a political endorsement in uniform. He says what Sheriff Chad Bianco did was illegal.

“What you did is illegal,” says Thurmond. “That is why your actions of making a political endorsement while wearing a taxpayer funded uniform need to be investigated.”

He added, “I know you are supporting a felon, but that doesn’t give you the license to start committing crimes yourself.”

He then asked, “what is wrong with this guy? What kind of message does this send to families across the state that if you’re a cult like fan of someone, the law shouldn’t apply to them. Chad, you ran on being tough on criminals, but now you want to give your favorite felon a pass. It’s no surprise this is coming from former member of the Oath Keepers. One of the groups who led the January 6 Insurrection. It’s also clear this former Oath Keeper forgot to keep his actual oath, which is too the people and to the rule of law. We can’t afford to have a criminal in the White House or a Governor who doesn’t follow the law.”

“Hello California, its Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco. For the past 30 years I have been doing everything I could to keep our communities safe by arresting criminals in jail and putting them in prison and keeping them out of our neighborhoods.

For the past 5-years, I have been very critical about our governor for slashing our budgets, from corrections, for letting prisoners out early, for closing our prisons.  I have been critical of our state legislator for passing laws for making it harder to put people in prison. I have been critical for their changing of laws that let prisoners out early. And I have been critical of our attorney general for seemingly not caring about crime and really being an embarrassment for law enforcement.

This love affair that our governor and state legislator have with criminals is based on the belief that criminals are not responsible for their own actions, they are a victim of society and really its our fault. It’s society’s fault, its businesses fault, its cops fault, it might be my fault.

Law enforcement, apparently if you listen to our governor is systemically racist. If you listen to our legislator, our laws are systemically racist, our judicial system is systemically racist.

All of these people that are being put in jail is because of law enforcement bias and District Attorney bias and all of these things. So they let them out, they give them food, they give them housing, the money, drugs and alcohol now.

I got to be honest, I am getting tired.

I am wondering if I am having a change of heart and deciding if I have had a change of heart. Maybe I have been wrong and I think I am going to change teams. I know its going to make some of you angry, I know you are going to be mad at me. But I am going to change team.

I think they are onto something, but I don’t think they are doing enough. I think that we need to go big. You know me, go big or go home, you do the best, you are the best at everything and you might as well do something right if your going to do it.

I am all in. I hope that you are all with me, I hope you all have this change of heart. You all feel that this is definitely the right thing to do and you come along aside me in this venture.

I think its time instead of letting them out of jail and giving them alcohol and drugs and everything else, I think its time we put a felon in the white house. Trump 2024 baby. Lets save this Country and Make America Great Again.”

If it’s illegal, Tony, then cite the specific statute that makes it so and refer the matter to the state attorney general. Otherwise, keep your big mouth shut. Political grandstanding and phony “moral outrage” from another governor-wannabe.

The sheriff is nutz June 6, 2024 - 7:00 pm

So does this mean that the sheriff is willing to hire a convicted felon to work in his organization? If Trump were to submit to background investigation for the sheriffs office you think he would clear? Everyone should ask yourself this stuff….

Being a current resident of Riverside Co. and retired LEO, I support Sheriff Bianco. Although he may have made a minor mistake by wearing a sheriff’s uniform, he is entitled to his opinion and may certainly endorse whomever he wants. Trump may be a convicted felon for now, but I’d lay odds on the appeals court reversing that conviction on numerous points of law, including constitutional law, which I taught for a while at Long Beach City College in the Criminal Justice department. There were numerous actions by the judge that would be blatant prejudicial rulings. D.A. Bragg made up the charges, based on federal law that even the previous D.A., Cy Vance, rejected as did the U.S. Attorney for the district.

TRUMP 2024 June 9, 2024 - 4:19 am

I totally agree and I support Trump. The people who are attacking him need to really learn what is happening and how bogus these charges are on Trump. It is pure election interference from the Biden admin.

Hey Kool-Aid June 7, 2024 - 4:56 am

This guy probably isn’t the only one willing to risk his career to further the agenda of the big orange cult leader. Frightening, isn’t it?

There goes Thurmond’s chances at winning an election. Bianco is a good man, a great sheriff, and he is backing an American hero for president to get us out of the mess Joey and his followers have mad of America.
