Power Outage Forces Antioch Water Park to Close

The City of Antioch announced that the Antioch Water Park will be closed on Wednesday, July 3 due to a power outage.

According to the PG&E website, its showing the outage is caused by “an equipment issue” but provided no other details. In total, the outage is impacting 40 PG&E customers. Restored power is anticipated after 11:00 am.

The announcement of the closure was made just after 8:00 am:

Due to a power outage, our facility will be closed today, July 3, 2024.

Your safety and the quality of your experience here are our top priorities, and we are working diligently to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.

Cooling Stations:

The City of Antioch announced that between July 2-8 from 12:00 pm to 8:00 pm, they will be opening up three cooling centers. Residents without home air conditioning or with conditions made worse with extreme heat and poor air quality are encouraged to seek out the cooling centers. Due to the excessive heat warning, the City of Antioch is providing cooling centers for your convenience.
