Antioch Police Investigating Shooting at Williamson Ranch Park

The Antioch Police Department are investigating a Saturday morning shooting that left one person wounded and one person has been detained.

According to preliminary information, the Antioch Police Department responded to a report of multiple shots fired at Williamson Ranch Park in the City of Antioch at approximently 11:25 am off Lone Tree Way and Hillcrest Ave.

One person was struck by gunfire. Police took at least one person in custody at Walmart across the street. It’s unclear if this person was the shooter or was with the victim.

As of 1:25 pm, police were still on scene investigating.
