The Brentwood Police Department confirmed an incident at the Bowlero on St. Patrick’s Day in the City of Brentwood.

This incident occurred on March 17 at around 11:40 p.m. at the Bowlero Bowling Alley. Started out as a verbal dispute between an adult male and female, both known to each other. At some point, the argument turned physical between the two.

The male, 22 year old, Davonte Johnson of San Leandro, brandished a semi-auto 9mm pistol but never fired it. By the time police arrived, Johnson fled the scene on foot but was quickly apprehended by police in an adjacent parking lot without incident.

A stolen, loaded firearm was recovered from his person.

Police said nobody was seriously injured during the altercation but some witnesses were shaken up.

Johnson was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for brandishing a firearm, carrying a concealed firearm in public, battery on a person, criminal threats and assault with a deadly weapon.

No other information was released by police.
