Man Stabbed in Antioch JC Penney’s Parking Lot

Antioch Police

Just before 3:00 pm Saturday, the Antioch Police Department responded to the JC Penney’s Parking Lot on Lone Tree Way on a report of a stabbing.

The call originally came in at Target, but the victim was ultimately located on the east side of JC Penney in the parking lot dripping in blood to his lower back–up to a 7-inch gash

While being treated by Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and AMR, the man did not want to leave his bicycle and attempted to decline treatment, however, firefighters were able to convince the man to seek treatment at a nearby hospital and police would take his bicycle so he could pick it up later.

Police were investigating the incident in an effort to track down the suspect. Police did not provide any details on scene.

Check back for updates.

nice of police to hold victim’s bike and convince him to get his wound tended to.

Why is this about him refusing treatment and not about the altercation or the suspect. People who shop JC Penney want to know!

Based on your article I do not see how your title makes sense. The call came from within the Target vicinity, yet the man was located at the JC Penney parking lot. So I beg the question, Was the man stabbed IN JC Penney’s parking lot, or Did the stabbing occur prior? Semantics and syntax, right? lol. NO. Yup, I had nothing better to do this morning. Happy Sunday.

Call came in as a stabbing at Target… male was located in JC Penney parking lot. CONFIRE circled target shopping center before being informed by PD they located him at JC Penney
