Oakley: Firefighters Battle Vegetation Fire in Summer Lake

At 5:00 pm Saturday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vegetation fire in the Summer Lake neighborhood in the city of Oakley.

Crews were dispatched to what a reporting party called field on fire the size of a football field at Summer Lake Drive and Lakewood Drive behind several homes.

Shortly after E95 arrived on scene, they stated they had approximently 40 feet of fence on fire and were making good knock down on the fence fire.

By 5:06 pm, E95 reported the fire was approximently 100 ft of fire line with slow spread.

By 5:09 pm, the fire was under control.

On Thursday, around 4:30 pm, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire in the 1800 block of Lakewood Drive in the City of Oakley. They also made quick knockdown with E95 in station.
