On July 14, 2023, a shooting occurred on the 2100 block of Crestview Lane, which resulted in the murder of 24-year-old Antioch resident Trevon Richardson and the wounding of a second male victim.

Since the incident, investigators have worked tirelessly to obtain evidence and have identified numerous people involved in this incident. During this operation and in the following days, 13 arrests were made for the homicide, along with the arrests of several members of the Midtown street gang for additional crimes. These crimes included murder, conspiracy to commit murder, accessory to murder, firearms violations, narcotics-related offenses, and other criminal offenses.

The Pittsburg Police Department would like to thank the Brentwood Police Department, Central County Tactical Team, Richmond Police Department, San Pablo Police Department, Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, Drug Enforcement Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigations- Safe Streets, and the US Marshals Office for their assistance during this investigation. The Pittsburg Police Department and allied agencies would also like to thank the community members who live near where these warrants were served for their patience and understanding during this activity.

Seven adults and two juveniles have been charged by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office with the murder of 24-year-old Trevon Richardson and are currently in custody awaiting court proceedings.

19-year-old Pittsburg resident Amen Allen is still wanted in connection with this homicide, and he should be considered armed and dangerous.
