A person was airlifted after being stabbed Monday morning on Bethel Island according to Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
The incident occurred at approximately 7:40 am where Contra Costa County Sheriff Deputies responded along with Contra Costa County Fire Protection District.
By 8:00 am, sheriff deputies were able to locate the victim and were able to apply a tourniquet and were attempting to make contact with the suspect. A short-time later, deputies located the suspect who was described as a Hispanic male adult in 1300 block of Taylor Road.
As of 8:10 am, the medical helicopter landed on Bethel Island near the post office to transport the patient.
No other details were made available and the sheriff’s office has not released any additional details.
