The unhoused are truly now unhoused.
That’s the second trailer on,this stretch that’s gone up in just about the past month. One went up in early October too.
That section of Wilbur looks like hell. Where are those people disposing their human waste when their black water waste holding tank gets full? The number of RV’s there will only continue to increase as it has become a magnet for them. Health and safety issues will also get worse, if Antioch does not abate it soon.
Wondering if Antioch can encourage/pay some of the Wilbur Avenue vagrants to migrate to, say Dublin, Danville or Pleasanton. Yeah right. Their police departments would turn them around at the freeway exits. The reasons we don’t see those affluent communities or Brentwood, Oakley or Pittsburg for that matter is THEY DON’T ALLOW IT, PERIOD! It’s our Council that’s put Antioch in the position we’re in and it’s getting worse by the day. Vagrants flock here because living on the street is allowed. Our Council could do something but the Council majority is wedded to making Antioch the hub of East County for vagrants. Wonder why the vast majority of Antioch voters feel Antioch is headed in the wrong direction? The problem lies at 3rd and H Streets.
