The Concord Police Department arrested a armed robbery suspect who robbed a female at gunpoint Wednesday evening in the City of Concord.
According to police, a woman was robbed at gunpoint inside a motel on the 4600 block of Clayton Rd. A suspect description and suspect car description was provided.
Patrol officers spotted the car and attempted a traffic stop, but the suspect fled and evaded officers.
A short time later, residents on Walters Way called and reported a solo car collision into a wall, with a man running away from the car. It turned out to be our suspect from the robbery. Officers set up a perimeter around the area and with the assistance of a police K9, he was found hiding in a garbage enclosure.
The suspect will be booked into county jail. Both the victim and suspect were from out of the area. Police thanked residents on Walters Way and Lodge Drive for their support and assistance.
No other information was released on the robbery and the suspect was not identified by Concord Police.
