9:00 pm UPDATE

At about 5:39pm, a 20-year-old male was riding a dirt bike southbound on “L” Street at a high rate of speed, running a stop sign at the intersection of “L” Street and W 4th Street.

The dirt bike collided into a white van that had entered the intersection, injuring the 52-year-old male driver. Officers were on scene within seconds and found both the dirt bike rider and the van driver unresponsive. Life saving measures were performed on both injured parties by Antioch PD officers. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The driver of the van was transported to a local area hospital where he is still in critical condition.

Sounds like dirt bike dude maybe an organ donor. These guys on dirt bikes and quads running all over the city being crazy. Looks like it caught up to someone. Isn’t 4th and L st going to be a big bike lane street to downtown? Good luck.

Foolishness has consequences. My sympathies go to the van driver.

I hope the van driver recovers. This almost happened to me when a boy and a girl on a dirt bike (no helmets) came flying out of a side street onto Prewett Ranch. I slammed on my brakes, but had I left my house one second earlier they would have slammed into the side of my car. It’s a jarring thought.
Remember how pissed Tamisha was when the cops “harassed” her boys for doing this very thing?

Prayers for the driver. Being young on a dirt bike trying stunts is reckless. But most young people are as reckless as they are un experienced. The older you get the more you see. I pray god provides strength for both families .
