Brentwood Police Make Arrest After Multiple Vehicles Struck by BB Gun

The Brentwood Police Department confirmed they are investigating a series of BB Gun shootings along Brentwood Blvd within the City of Brentwood.

Lt. Walter O’Grodnick said Saturday a string of vehicles struck by a projectile, possibly a pellet or BB in the area of Brentwood Blvd. between Homecoming Way and Sunset Road. Vehicle windows were damaged, fortunately nobody was injured.

“As far as we know, a total of six vehicles were struck between 01/13/23 at 5:40 am and 1/14/23 at 1:40 am, all in the same area,” said O’Grodnick.

He added that this is an active investigation. They are asking motorists to be extra cautious if traveling through the area of concern and to immediately report any incidents or suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1.

UPDATE: Investigation update regarding multiple vehicles struck by projectile

On 1/14/23, at around 5:15 p.m., BPD’s follow-up investigation led to the search of a home on Almond Street in Brentwood, the recovery of related evidence and the arrest of Brandon Hasenpusch, 31, of Brentwood on suspicion of recklessly discharging projectiles at moving vehicles.

Hasenpusch was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on several felonies. Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to contact the Brentwood Police Department at 925-809-7911.
