The following is a sampling of the Antioch Police Calls reported between January 29-February 4 which focuses on the higher priority call responses in the City of Antioch.

Update: Female Who Fled From CHP Causing Crash in Antioch Has Died

On Feb 7 around 2:30 pm, CHP Contra Costa attempted to make a traffic stop on a grey Saturn Vue on eastbound SR-4 near Bailey Road. The Saturn fled from the officer and a pursuit ensued. The Saturn continued eastbound and exited the freeway at Contra Loma Boulevard but continued through the intersection and up the Contra Loma on-ramp to eastbound SR-4. The Saturn collided into the rear of a tanker truck that was traveling on the on-ramp. The driver of the Saturn was extricated and flown by emergency helicopter to the hospital for major injuries. The driver of the tanker truck was not injured. This incident is still under investigation.
