Motorcyclist Killed Sunday on Marsh Creek Road in Clayton

On Sunday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Marsh Creek Road in the City of Clayton.

The crash occurred just after 9:00 pm in the area of Marsh Creek Road near Three Springs Road where it was reported a rider was down in the roadway.   Upon arrival by firefighters, the rider was declared deceased.

CHP is investigating the crash and no details have been released.

CHP UPDATE Solo motorcycle fatality crash on Marsh Creek Road near Clayton.

On Sunday June 4th at about 9:07pm, CHP Contra Costa was advised of a solo motorcycle crash on eastbound Marsh Creek Road near the Three Springs Staging Area. The motorcycle was traveling eastbound and the rider was unable to negotiate a turn in the roadway, causing the rider to lay the bike down. The motorcycle and the rider left the roadway and collided with a dirt embankment.
