The City of Antioch was not only greeted with fireworks in the sky, but they had approximently hundreds of people hosting a sideshow in the early morning hours.

According to preliminary information, approximently 200-300 expectorates gathered where they held a sideshow which the Antioch Police Department could not shut down due to officers availability–they were working two separate shootings and a 2-alarm fire and multiple vehicle crashes and medicals. Do we know where Tamisha Walker was? Come on Lamar is this the type of 4th you wanted? Time to crackdown on this behavior in Antioch. Unleash the dogs of war and clean up this town. Last night was not a celebration it was war.

Knowing that APD is extremely short on officers it seems to me we’re in an emergency situation that requires assisrance from the Contra Costa Sheriff and CHP for night time patrols, particularly on weekend and holiday nights. We cannot be left to suffer at the hands of lawless idiots who are nothing less than public safety hazards and must be removed from society,

I agree 100%. Chief Ford needs to receive outside assistance. If more people vote in the past election, we can vote Thorpe out.

I spit on those expectorates.

Where's Da Mayor July 5, 2023 - 2:11 pm

Geez! Where’s da mayor. I’m sure he’ll say it’s the police’s fault for not being staffed enough to respond to the rats taking over the city whenever it suits them. Oh wait, he’s probably working on the ballot measure to ensure the homeless hotel is adequately funded. What a mess! Vote people!!!

Looking at old aerial photos of intersections of Lone Tree Way at Bluerock and Gentrytown Road and Buchanan Road black tire marks are very evident, indicating sideshow activity is regular occurrence. Those intersections you though city had resurfaced it’s black tire rubber.
.
Antioch is lawless and out of control.
It’s time citizens of Antioch make direct appeals to Governor Newsom to send in Highway Patrol. Criminal element knows city can’t maintain law and order and is exploiting the weakness.

Majority on city council needs to stop padding resumes for higher office woke pandering playing games and make Antioch a decent place to live again. As more crime happens Antioch property values will be depressed for years.

The law abiding citizens of Antioch need some serious help. I fear for the safety of my family and myself and am heartbroken over what has become of my city. Who can we plead with for help here?

Go to the sheriff and request a concealed carry permit. Tell him you fear for your life. It won’t get you one but it will let you know that he doesn’t want you to protect yourself , just saying.
