1 Dead, 3 Wounded in Shooting at House Party in Oakley

The Oakley Police Department is investigating a shooting at a house party Saturday night that left 1 dead and 3 wounded.

Just after 11:00 pm Saturday, the Oakley Police Department responded to a port of multiple shots fired on Shannon Way in the City of Oakley.

When police arrived, they located a house party with several people wounded. Upon further investigation, 1 person was dead and 3 others wounded. Multiple AMR units were requested along with assistance from both the Contra Costa County Sheriffs Office and the Brentwood Police Department.

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and AMR also responded to provide patient care. A medical helicopter was requested, but ultimately cancelled for ground transports.

Police did confirm 1 person was dead, 3 others wounded  but provided no other details on the victims or their ages. It was also confirmed several students from Freedom High School and Heritage High School were at the party.

According to preliminary information from sources on scene, approximately 15-20 shots were heard.

As of 12:30 am, the shooter was not in custody and police did not confirm if the shooter was known or not.
