Oakley Police Make Several Friday Arrests

The Oakley Police Department had a busy Friday between an armed robbery to shoplifting which resulted in multiple arrests.

Here is a brief rundown of incidents on Saturday:

Armed Robbery

 At 10:04 AM, officers received a call from anonymous person reporting that two males were arguing and fighting in front of the Starbucks at Main and Bridgehead,  one person had a can of pepper spray.  Officers arrived on scene and contacted both individuals.  The victim ended up being associated with the adjacent Chevron station and said the suspect, Ruben Sanchez (25/Florida) stole property from the Chevron, fled the location and brandished a knife at him.  Officer’s placed Sanchez under arrest.  Sanchez originally gave false names to the officers but after further investigation his true identity was learned. Sanchez was also found to be on Federal Probation for unknown charges.  Sanchez was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility and booked into jail.

Shoplifter

At 3:01 PM officers responded to Raley’s on the report of loss prevention armed security fighting with a shoplifter.  Officers arrived on scene and saw security had suspect Tracy Johns (32/Florida & Nevada) detained.  Officers were told Johns was associated with a Gray Hyundai SUV and found the license to be expired in 2019 and had stolen property inside of it.  Johns had also tried to run away with a shopping car full of alcohol and other groceries totaling $345.03.  Johns also provided false names of herself to Oakley officers, but after further investigation her true identity was also learned. Johns was found to have arrest warrants out of Madera County, Santa Monica and Las Vegas Nevada. All warrants were confirmed and Johns was booked into jail for the warrants and the theft related charges from Raley’s.

Trespassing With Burglary Tools

At 5:00PM officers were dispatched to Arminio Ln regarding subjects driving on a victims property and not sure where they went. The victim said he blocked his driveway and thought the suspects were in his house.  STARR (Sheriff’s Office helicopter) was overhead and saw two suspects, one jumping the back fence into Pena’s auto dismantling and one began hiding under the tree line.  With STARR guiding officers they were able to detained Carlos Torres (33/Bay Point) under the tree line.  STARR then guided officers into the rear of Pena’s ainto dismantling and they took Jose Roque (33/Bay Point) into custody. Roque had been hiding under a vehicle  who was hiding under a vehicle.  Both subjects admitted to jumping the fence to steal parts from Pena’s and admitted they had burglary tools in their vehicle. Both suspects were booked into jail.

Bicyclist with Shotgun

At 1:02AM (this morning) Officer Hernandez stopped Shawn Warner (42/Oakley) for riding his bicycle with no lights.  Warner was found to be in possession of a loaded shotgun concealed in a tent case.  Warner was also in possession of suspected methamphetamine and paraphernalia.  Warner was arrested for these crimes.

42 year old tweak riding his bicycle at 1:02am with a loaded shotgun, this one takes the cake, Oakley, like all of east county is a haven for filth.
