Santa is coming as many upcoming holiday themed Contra Costa events are right around the corner around the county. A ton of holiday themed vendor fairs, parades, tree lighting and more.

Dec 8-17: El Campanil: Black Diamond Ballet’s Nutcracker

Black Diamond Ballet returns for their 11th Annual Nutcracker. Under the direction of Pittsburg native, Sharon Sobel Idul, the production features professional ballet dancers from all over the Bay Area and a student cast of over 40. New and exciting choreography, costumes, and cultural dances that will dazzle and captivate all of East County. Celebrate the holidays with this timeless classic. Santa Crawl Brentwood

Dec 14 – Brentwood Santa Crawl

They say you should dress for the job you WANT. Whelp, as far as we are concerned Santa may have the dream job. Join us for a festive evening in Downtown Brentwood at Santa Crawl, presented by Erickson Realty Group and Dress in your Holiday Best! The Downtown Brentwood Coalition is a nonprofit made up for small businesses, nonprofit partners and service organizations. We love bringing the community together in downtown and we’d love your support for this fun night out!

Dec 16: Mighty Market Holiday Book & Toy Swap (Lafayette)

Join us on Saturday, December 16th from 9-12 for a holiday book and toy swap! Cut through the clutter by bringing good condition books and toys that your little one has outgrown and swapping them for new ones! IMPORTANT: Please do not bring any oversized items. Anything larger than the approximate size of a baby doll stroller or infant walker will not fit in the space. We want to make sure everyone has a chance to swap items and oversized items will make that impossible. Thank you!

Dec 16 – Annual Winter Ball (Richmond)

Polish off your shoes, dust your bling and set out your finest attire for the 23rd Annual Senior Winter Ball on Saturday, Dec. 16th! The Top Shelf Classics Party and Band Show will play all of your favorite dance music throughout the night, with dinner provided by Josephine Orozco and her team, El Sol Catering. Presented by the Commission on Aging and the city’s Community Services Department-Recreation Division, the annual event will be held at Richmond Memorial Auditorium. Dec 17 – EBRPD Campfire at Big Break

Join the East Bay Regional Park District for its campfire at Big Break Regional Shoreline in the City of Oakley on Dec 17 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm – rain or shine. Join us at the Visitor Center for our December Campfire celebrating Winter Bird Migration. Every winter millions of birds stop at wetlands in the Delta to rest and find food. Dec 17: McGrail Uncorked and Unplugged (Livermore)

Join us for a special Holiday edition of our Uncorked & Unplugged live music series at McGrail Vineyards! Enjoy a relaxing Sunday afternoon with live holiday music, McGrail wines by the glass and bottle, & delicious food from a local food truck. Festive holiday clothing and accessories are encouraged! This event will be in our Barrel Room with additional seating outside on our Vineyard Patio (weather dependent). Open seating will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis.
