busy night in the ghetto known as Antioch.
So true
12 and 13 year olds speeding thru the streets of Antioch killed in a car crash. What in the world has Antioch descended into?
Why was a 12 and 13 year old driving a car to begin with?
Their dad was driving the car ding dong.
What were 13 and 14 year olds doing driving around at 11:30 at night? Was the car stolen or did the parent let them use it?
Bro, be better then this. 🙄
Might be a good idea to wait until all the facts are in before we jump to conclusions.
Antioch used to be a good town. What happened? I feel sorry for the boy’s family. I hope the coward is caught and fully prosecuted.
Antioch used to be an ok suburban town back in the 90s and early 2000s. The subprime mortgage crisis of 2008 created a lot of blight in old town Antioch + Section 8 vouchers making it easier for the degenerates from the city to move deep into the suburbs. And you get the result you’re seeing today
Our current mayor, city counsel and DA happened. We only have 4 officers on patrol at any one time working 12 hour shifts for 115,000 population and when the Sherrif and CHP offered additional units to help till they fill the open spots and the mayor and city officials refused their help. Alone in my court I had three incidents happen this past week. 1 an SUV with a bunch of people stopped and jumped out and started grabbing stuff from my neighbors garage, The second night a stolen car was dumped in the court, and the third night 3 cars came up the court and started breaking into cars we had to run them off. Confirmed by the police when we asked, 3 of the 4 officers who showed up were the only ones on patrol. They are running themselves raggid trying to keep up and when they do catch people they are let out on 0 dollar bail the same night. It’s fricken BS and why we are in this situation. Every one needs to use their vote this coming year and VOTE THIS GARBAGE OUT OF OFFICE!
Stop being a baby, stop pointing fingers, and ask what YOU can do for your city. I see people around town doing great things in Antioch, notice how that is never mentioned on this site? This comment will probably not be approved.
These District Attorneys need to quit fucking around with this type of shit and prosecute to the full extent of the law. No deals serve the entire sentence and learn a lesson. This is tragic to read, and worst is some fucker thinks that he can just walk away after killing two kids. If I was this guy I’d be more worried about these kids family finding him then the cops.
Antioch streets are dangerous. On any given day there are street racers and stop light and sign runners. Everytime you take to the streets you take your life into your hands. Davison and Garrow are ridiculous. If we had a cop at that intersection he/she could write multiple ticket books a day. And this is just one intersection. It goes on all day every day at every intersection in our community. James Donlon is a freeway. 50 mph is the norm. Antioch needs help. Our poor cops are over worked and stretched to the limits. This Council must make some tough choices. Call for mutual aid and pay the sherriff’s department, CHP, Brentwood, Pittsburg or Oakley police to return order and safety to our community. It is the Council’s responsibility to provide a safe and secure city. Do your damn jobs or step down and let someone with the political will do what you can’t.
I agree completely! The fucked up thing is on May 7 2023 my boyfriend of 11 years was killed in a hit and run on L and 18 th streets. He was RIDING HIS BIKE home from the store and some fucker took him out. And not a word from APD or any news article about it. Nothing at all, like his life didn’t mean enough to do some type of investigation. I called the officer every day, the chief at the time, the acting chief after that and even the flippin’ Mayor!! Still, crickets. But whoever hit him and essentially murdered him is walking around living their life as usual while I have to pick up the pieces of what was once my life. It really makes me want to hurt a mother fucker. But karma is watching & it will come back on that person. I feel for the two boys who were killed and their families. I hope they get more answers than I did. RIP boys. 😢
Sad thing is , the kids could have caused the wreck , but the other guy ran so they will nail him.
12 year old and 13 year old have lost their lives, such a tragedy.
No one is going to step down or seek assistance because of their egos. That’s why we’re here. More concern about egos than the lives and safety of the community they were somehow elected to serve.
And I can’t help but wonder if part of it isn’t to teach us all a lesson about how this is what we get when there are racist cops in the world. It’s all the fault of racists cops…
WTF does this have to do with race? Race card doesn’t need to be used every 5 minutes, when its used for everything, it gets diluted.
