A man was shot Saturday night and the Brentwood Police Department still searching for the suspect near McClarren park.
According to preliminary information, the Brentwood Police Department responded to the 600 block of McClarren at Walnut Blvd just after 8:00 pm. It was reported that a subject was shot in the chest. The suspect was not located, however, police have the area on lockdown and are investigating the incident and actively searching for the suspect.
The injuries were believed to be critical.

Sunday Update: SHOOTING INVESTIGATION
Brentwood,CA- On 3/16/2024 at approximately 8:00 pm, Brentwood officers responded to a report of a shooting at the 400 block of Orchard Drive. When officers arrived, they located an adult male victim who had been shot multiple times. The victim is recovering in a local hospital and is expected to survive.
After speaking to the victim and witnesses in the area, officers identified an adult suspect who was taken into custody without further incident.
