Livermore Police are asking for the public’s help in finding a suspect believed to be responsible for killing two people over the weekend.

The suspect has been identified as 30-year-old Yonston Vazquez of Oakland.

On April 27, 2024, around 6:45 a.m., Livermore Police responded to a report of a shooting at the La Quinta Inn on Southfront Road.

When police arrived, they found a 26-year-old female victim from Oakland and a 21-year-old male victim from Hayward who had been shot inside a room. Both victims were pronounced deceased at the scene.

Livermore Police’s Criminal Investigations Bureau responded to take over the investigation and identified Vazquez as the suspect. It was later determined Vazquez knew one of the victims. He remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.

Anyone with information on Vazquez’s whereabouts is urged to call Livermore Police Department’s anonymous tip line at (925) 371-4790.

Livermore Police will not be releasing any more information as the investigation is ongoing. The Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau will be responsible for releasing the identities of the victims.

This is the City of Livermore’s first and second homicides of the year.
