Brentwood Police Arrest 5-Time Convicted Felon On Multiple Charges

The Brentwood Police Department announced the arrest of a Concord man, who is also a 5 time felon, on multiple charges.

Accoridng to police, early Sunday morning, around 2:30AM, Brentwood officers were dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle at the 7200 block of Brentwood Blvd. The caller told Dispatch that the driver was wearing a black ski mask and dark clothing; and appeared to have attempted to steal mail from a community mailbox. When Brentwood officers arrived shortly after the call, the vehicle fled from police.

A short while later, the same car was found unoccupied at the end of Havenwood Avenue. The car was determined to be stolen out of the City of Antioch and officers found a significant amount of stolen mail and burglary tools inside the car.

The same morning around 4:15AM, Dispatch received another call on Stratford Way for a report of someone matching the description of the suspect whom had just stolen a package from someone’s porch.

A Brentwood officers was in the area and immediately located the suspect walking on foot and took him to custody. The suspect was identified as 35 year-old Gustavo Montanorazo of  the City of Concord.

Montanorazo, a five time convicted felon had a Martinez Detention Facility paperwork on him, along with a sawed off shotgun and ammunition, social security cards, vehicle titles, checks, and keys that did not belong to him, in his possession.

Montanorazo was placed under arrest for a variety of charges including being a felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a short-barreled rifle; identify theft, possession of stolen property, possession of burglary tools, possession of drugs, petty theft, and other related charges. The passenger in the vehicle was also placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant.

Based on the gun, various stolen property, and other items Montanorazo was in possession of, it is safe to say that our officers prevented additional crimes in our city and elsewhere.

Five time convicted felon and he’s only 35. This thug is an over achiever and should get what he truly wants and that is to be a lifer. No plea deal just lock this dude up.
