Vehicle Flees Scene After Striking Baby Stroller in Oakley

At 5:45 pm Friday, the Oakley Police Department was dispatched to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian in the Raley’s Shopping Center.

It was reported that a vehicle had struck a female who had a stroller with a baby. The vehicle struck the stroller and left.

Oakley Police, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District and AMR all arrived on scene. They reported the baby was “okay” and were reviewing video footage to determine the suspect vehicle.

According to preliminary information, the vehicle was described as a white SUV, possibly a truck with a camper shell which was occupied by two females.

A search of the Carol Lane Apartment area and other nearby locations did not result in locating the suspect vehicle.

No other information was released.
