Antioch Police Investigating Fatal Stabbing, Another Shooting

The Antioch Police Department is investigating a stabbing that led to the death of a person on San Jose Drive just around 5:00 am Thursday.

No details have been provided by police, however its believed to be domestic in nature after a male was stabbed in the chest by a female.

  • VICTIM(S): 30-year-old, female
  • SUSPECT: 39-year-old, male

On June 15, 2023, at approximately 5:02 a.m. Antioch Police Officers responded to the 2200 block of San Jose Drive on a report of a stabbing having just occurred. Officers arrived and located a 30-year-old female and a 39-year-old male both suffering from stab wounds. The female was pronounced deceased at the scene. The male was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. This is an isolated incident and there is no current threat to the public. This is an ongoing investigation, and no further information will be released at this time.

Shooting on Pepper Tree Way

At around 7:00 pm Wednesday, Antioch Police responded to Pepper Tree Way after receiving calls for gunshots in the area. Police located casings and a vehicle that was hit. A male arrived at an area hospital with a gunshot wound and he was later identified as the shooter. Police have no released any official information on this shooting.

The overnight shooting comes less than a week after 1 person died and 6 others wounded in a shooting during a birthday party on Felicia Court in the City of Antioch.

Pursuit into Pittsburg

It’s unclear what led to an vehicle pursuit into the city of Pittsburg, however, its believed to have started after a burglary attempt at a restaurant on A Street near E 18th in the City of Antioch.  The subject was able to evade police while exiting a business before getting in a vehicle and fleeing. The vehicle eventually crashed when the suspect was taken into custody.
