An early morning alert in San Pablo has prompted a shelter in place alert from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s office.

The order was issued just before 3:00 am.

Here is the alert:

FYI — CONTRA COSTA COUNTY OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF. There is currently Law enforcement activity in the MONTALVIN MANNOR area near RACHEL ROAD cross of HEALTHER ROAD. People in the area are advised to LOCKDOWN IN THE NEAREST PLACE OF SAFETY. PLEASE STAY INSIDE, CLOSE AND LOCK ALL WINDOWS AND DOORS. Stay off the phone and do not call 911 unless you need to report a life-threatening emergency. To report suspicious activity, contact the CONTRA COSTA COUNTY OFFICE OF THE SHERIFF at 925-646-2441. Stay indoors until you receive further official instructions.

No other information on the incident has been released.

As of 4:51 am, it was confirmed a suspect was still inside a building/residence.
