The following is a sampling of the Antioch Police Calls reported between February 5-11 which focuses on the higher priority call responses in the City of Antioch.

Male Stabbed After Confronting Transient Casing Vehicles in Antioch

On Friday, February 17 at 9:03 am, Antioch Police Department officers were dispatched to the area of Country Hills Drive and Chism Way on a 911 call reporting a stabbing. Officers arrived and located a male victim suffering from a significant stab wound to the stomach. Both the victim and another male were holding down a subject – who was identified as Johnnie Ray Bryce.

Officers learned from witness statements and video evidence that Bryce was seen by area residents casing vehicles on the street and in private driveways. Residents confronted Bryce about his actions and he responded by brandishing a knife at them. During the ensuing altercation, one of the area residents suffered a stab wound to the stomach. Other area residents (who were witnessing events) chased after Bryce and held him to the ground until police arrived. — Full Story

Antioch Police Make Arrest in Sycamore Square Fatal Shooting

The Antioch Police Department announced the arrest and charges in a January 17 homicide on Sycamore Drive in the City of Antioch. Police announced that Corey Hill, a 19-year-old male out of Antioch, was identified as a suspect in this case by detectives from their Investigations Bureau. He was arrested on an unrelated matter in Orinda and found to be wanted for the Antioch homicide. — Full Story

Antioch Business Burglary Suspects Arrested and Identified

The Antioch Police Officers Association released the names of suspects involved in multiple burglaries in Antioch over the past several days, even weeks.

The suspect was identified as Casey Beck and Alyssa Castro who were both charged with several crimes to include multiple burglaries. Beck was a parolee at large. Officer’s on day-shift continued to work leads when graveyard went off duty. An officer conducting follow up located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. — Full Story
