The Pittsburg Police Department highlighted a recent retail theft operation that resulted in 14 people arrested, 5 towed vehicles and recovered $5,200 in stolen merchandise. Two of the arrested persons admitted to being boosters (professional thief stealing for others to profit) that normally target department stores in San Francisco. The vehicle they use was towed and the additional $2,000 was located inside several Sears plastic bags which were already separated and was supposed to be delivered to their customers. — see story
