At 6:07 pm Thursday, the Antioch Police Department responded to the area of W 20th and D Street on a report of a shooting in the City of Antioch.
Upon arrival, they located one adult male on the ground. He was later declared deceased on scene.
According to preliminary information by Acting Lieutenant Price Kendall, it appears foul males ages 15-to-20 got involved in an argument and possibly a fight with an adult male. At some point during the altercation, one of the juvenile males pulled out a firearm and shot the male.
No other information was released.
Antioch crime scene investigators are on scene and the incident is still active.

On August 10, 2023, at approximately 1807 hours, APD dispatch received multiple calls from citizens advising of a male having just been shot in the 600 block of W. 20th Street. Officers arrived and located a 31-year-old male from Antioch suffering from a gunshot wound.
Life saving measures were performed by officers and paramedics. The male succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The victim has been identified however we are withholding his information at this time until the next of kin has been notified.

Hard to find info on actual number of shooting deaths in Antioch when lumped together with shooyings.
