The following Richmond Police Calls are for November 20-26. These are the dates and recaps reported by Richmond Police.

Below is an overview of significant service activity provided by RPD patrol officers during their scheduled shifts. Please note that activity shared in these segments are provided only as an overview, and do not reflect the entirety of service calls and reports taken throughout each shift.

 

11/20 – MISSING JUVENILE – RETURNED: Officers responded to the area of Cutting Blvd and 19th St for a report of a juvenile who was cold and alone. Officers contacted the juvenile, who was unharmed and unreported, missing out of a nearby City. The legal guardian was notified, and the juvenile was provided a courtesy transport home. #10384

11/21 – ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM: Officers conducted an enforcement stop near the area of 23rd St and Barrett Ave. During the course of the investigation, a loaded firearm was located inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested without incident. #10408

11/22 – COMMERCIAL BURGLARY: Officers responded to a commercial burglary in the 900 block of 23rd St. The reporting party advised they were watching a live feed of the suspects inside the business. The suspect vehicle fled at a high rate of speed upon officer’s arrival. #10411

11/23 – HOMICIDE INVESTIGATION: Officers responded to the 600 block of 37th St for a ShotSpotter activation, registering 3 rounds. Officers located a victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. Despite lifesaving measures, the victim succumbed to his injuries. RPD homicide detectives responded to assume the investigation. This investigation is ongoing. #10457

11/24 – DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: Officers responded to the 100 block of 6th St to investigate a ShotSpotter activation registering 9 rounds. Upon arrival, officers located one expended casing on the roadway. A neighborhood canvass for damaged vehicles or residences yielded negative results. #10461

11/25 – POSSESSION OF STOLEN VEHICLE – ARREST: Dispatch alerted officers to a Flock notification of a stolen vehicle. Officers responded to the area and located the vehicle; the vehicle was determined to be stolen out of the City of Hayward. An enforcement stop was conducted, and the suspect was arrested without incident. #10488

11/25 – SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Officers responded to Kaiser Hospital for a report of a single gunshot wound victim. The victim told officers, the incident occurred the day prior. Officers conducted an area check where the victim indicated the shooting occurred with negative results. This investigation is ongoing. #10496

11/25 – ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM: Officers conducted an enforcement stop near the area of 44th St & Nevin Ave. During the course of the investigation, a loaded firearm with an extended magazine was located inside the vehicle. The suspect was arrested without incident. #10500

11/26 – CARJACKING: Officers responded to the 1700 block of Esmond Ave for the report of a carjacking. The victim was approached by two suspects. One suspect held the victim at gunpoint while the second suspect demanded the victim’s keys. The suspects fled the scene in the victim’s vehicle prior to the officers’ arrival. An area check was conducted with negative results. The victim’s vehicle has since been recovered. #10508
