Update: 16-Year-Old Dies in Saturday Morning Shooting in Antioch

The Antioch Police Department is investigating a Saturday morning shooting that left one person dead.

The shooting came in just before 5:30 am on Observation Way which was reported as a male gunshot victim. The condition of the victim is not known, however, it was reported as one person shot in the upper body or possibly the head. No other details surrounding the shooting have been released by Antioch Police.

UPDATE – 1 Dead

On February 24th, 2024, at approximately 5:12 am, Antioch Police patrol officers were dispatched to the 1700 block of Observation Way for a male who had been shot seated inside of a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene and located a 16-year-old male with at least one gun shot

wound. Officers on scene provided life-saving measures until relieved by ConFire and Paramedics. The male victim was transported to an area hospital where he ultimately succumbed his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Officers discovered the shooting took place in the 2000 block of Tupleo Way. Officers canvassed the area and located the scene. The Antioch Police Department’s Investigations Bureau, consisting of Crime Scene Investigators and detectives with the Violent Crimes Unit took over the investigation. This is an active investigation, and no further information will be provided.

Do you really think displaying how many officers are servicing Antioch currently is a good idea?
This is letting the thugs with guns aware how understaffed the city is.Focus on what we can do to keep us safe..maybe there should be a community watch unit and impost a City Wide Curfew..or be fined with a court appearance!!!
