Richmond Man Arrested in San Francisco Homicide

In less than 9-hours, San Francisco Police identified a Richmond man in connection with a homicide and arrested him

On April 5, 2024, at approximately 1:37 p.m., San Francisco Police Department officers responded to the 2300 block of Mission Street regarding a report of a shooting. Officers arrived on scene and located an adult male victim suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers began rendering aid, including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Paramedics responded to the scene and rendered aid as well. Despite life-saving efforts by first responders, the victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The SFPD Homicide Unit responded to the scene and took over the investigation.

Through the course of the investigation, investigators identified and developed probable cause to arrest 30-year-old male Alexander Martinez, of Richmond, CA.

On April 5, 2024, at approximately 10:20 p.m., Martinez was located in Richmond, CA, and placed under arrest for homicide (187(a) PC). Martinez was transported and booked into San Francisco County Jail #1.
