With no Police, you got to wonder how many of these killings even get investigated??? Unless there’s a witness willing to testify, or clear video coverage of the face of the perpetrator, don’t hold your breath.

And during this time a man was beaten, robbed, and had his work truck stolen from him in broad day light with plenty of people witnessing it. They were all told the police WOULD NOT BE RESPONDING. They were told there were not enough officers and that the ones they had ,on shift, were working a homicide.. no follow up call either. This person can not even get an incident# from apd!!! They crashed the company truck and sole all of his tools and without a report he cant even get help from the companies auto insurance.. the people of antioch are on their own so why should they have to pay property taxes??

Anyone who believes crime is down in our community is living in fantasy land. No matter how many times the lie is repeated from a podium citizens of Antioch know better. Our city is no longer the safe community it was before this this feckless mayor was elected. We need police not experimental programs and policies designed to drain more tax money from our city coffers.

Take It To The Ballot Box January 27, 2024 - 7:45 am

The better question is why should Antioch have to put up with a mayor whose actions and inactions set this ball in motion. If you don’t like not having an adequate number of police staffed to serve the city or the steady crime you see and hear about, remember to take it to the ballot box. As long as Lamar is at the helm, help is not coming.
