Antioch Police Take Shooting Suspect into Custody on Vasco Road

Upon further investigation, they were able to identify the responsible as 23-year-old, Malik Jefferson. On February 16,, gang investigators and members from the Special Investigations Unit were able to locate Jefferson driving on Vasco Road in the City of Brentwood (Notevideo on our Instagram). An enforcement stop was conducted, and Jefferson was placed under arrest and transported to county jail. — Full Story

Antioch Business Burglary Suspects Arrested and Identified

The Antioch Police Officers Association released the names of suspects involved in multiple burglaries in Antioch over the past several days. The suspect was identified as Casey Beck and Alyssa Castro who were both charged with several crimes to include multiple burglaries. Beck was a parolee at large. Officer’s on day-shift continued to work leads when graveyard went off duty. An officer conducting follow up located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop.Full Story

Monica’s Riverview Latest Antioch Business Hit by Burglary

Monica’s Riverview in downtown Antioch is the latest business to be a victim of an overnight burglary. According to Monica Barajas, owner of Monica’s Riverview, security footage captured a burglar around 12:45 am Sunday morning coming through a window and entering the restaurant office area. The subject was in and out in less than 10-minutes. Barajas was still in the process of itemizing the loss, however, she estimates that between property damage, cash, and product loss, they are out $15k — Full Story

Antioch Police Make Arrest in Sycamore Square Fatal Shooting

The Antioch Police Department announced the arrest and charges in a January 17 homicide on Sycamore Drive in the City of Antioch. Police announced that Corey Hill, a 19-year-old male out of Antioch, was identified as a suspect in this case by detectives from their Investigations Bureau. He was arrested on an unrelated matter in Orinda and found to be wanted for the Antioch homicide — full story
