The following Richmond Police Calls are for December 11-17. These are the dates and recaps reported by Richmond Police.

Below is an overview of significant service activity provided by RPD patrol officers during their scheduled shifts. Please note that activity shared in these segments are provided only as an overview, and do not reflect the entirety of service calls and reports taken throughout each shift.

12/11 – STOLEN VEHICLE – RECOVERY: Officers responded to a Flock notification for a stolen vehicle in the area. A records check confirmed the vehicle to be reported stolen out of the City of Fairfield. Officers located the vehicle unoccupied. #11066

12/12 – POSSESSION OF STOLEN VEHICLE – ARREST: Officers were dispatched to the area for a Flock notification of a stolen vehicle. A records check confirmed the vehicle to be reported stolen out of the City of Oakland. The suspect was arrested without incident. #11079

12/12 – GRAND THEFT: Officers responded to DD’s Discount Store for a report of grand theft. Officers quickly obtained a description of the suspects and their vehicle. Officers circulated the area and located the suspect vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop. The suspects were identified and arrested without incident. The stolen property was recovered. #11097

12/12 – STOLEN VEHICLE RECOVERY, ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM: Officers responded to a Flock notification for a stolen vehicle in the area. A records check revealed the vehicle was reported stolen out of the City of Fairfax. Officers located the vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop. The driver exited the vehicle and foot bailed. A perimeter was established and a lengthy search was conducted with negative results. During the course of the investigation, a firearm was recovered inside the vehicle and booked into evidence. #11104

12/13 – ROBBERY: Officers responded to the 4200 block of Macdonald Ave for a report of a robbery. Officers learned the victim was stopped at a red light behind the suspect vehicle after leaving the bank when two suspects exited the suspect vehicle. The suspects shattered the victim’s window and fled with the victim’s wallet. An area check was conducted with negative results. #11118

12/13 – ROBBERY: Officers responded to the Costco parking lot for a report of a robbery. The victim was loading items into the trunk of her vehicle when the suspect approached the victim from behind and a struggle ensued over the victim’s purse. The suspect fled in a waiting suspect vehicle with the victim’s purse. Officers were able to locate the victim’s cellphone discarded on the roadway. An area check was conducted with negative results. #11127

12/13 – SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Officers responded to a local hospital for a report of a gunshot wound victim. During the course of the investigation, Officers learned the victim was inside their vehicle when the suspect fired one round striking the victim. Officers located a shooting scene near the 2000 block of Macdonald Ave. An area check was conducted with negative results. This investigation is ongoing. #11138

12/14 – EVADE PEACE OFFICER: Officers responded to the area for a Flock notification of a felony vehicle wanted for armed robbery in a nearby City. Officers located the suspect vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop ultimately leading officers on a pursuit. The pursuit was terminated when officers lost visual of the suspect vehicle. #11144

12/15 – SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation registering 6 rounds in the 3600 block of Nevin Ave. While en route, officers were advised of a gunshot victim at a local hospital. During the course of the investigation, officers learned the victim was driving when the victim realized their vehicle was struck by gunfire. The victim also suffered a single gunshot wound. This investigation is ongoing. #11215

12/15 – ARMED ROBBERY: Officers responded to the 3700 block of Nevin Ave for a report of shots fired. The victim was checking on his vehicle when he was suddenly grabbed by the suspect who was holding a firearm. The suspect fled on foot prior to officers’ arrival with the victim’s cellphone and wallet. Officers located an expended casing at the scene. An area check was conducted with negative results. This investigation is ongoing. #11222

12/16 – COMMUNITY EVENT: The annual Richmond Fire and Police toy/bicycle drive was held from 0800 –1300 at DeJean Middle School. The event was very well attended by all to include the recipients and volunteers.

12/16 – DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: Officers responded to the 100 block of S.12th St for a report of a ShotSpotter activation registering three rounds. Officers located casings along the curb line. A neighborhood canvass for damaged vehicles or residences yielded negative results. #11255

12/16 – DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: Officers responded to the 100 block of 15th St for a report of two ShotSpotter Activation registering two and six rounds. Officers located five expended casings at the scene. A neighborhood canvass for damaged vehicles or residences yielded negative results. #11256

12/17 – ARMED ROBBERY: Officers responded to the 12000 block of San Pablo Ave for a report of an armed robbery. The victims were walking to their vehicle after visiting the ATM machine when they were approached by the suspect holding a firearm. The suspect fled with the victim’s purse. An area check was conducted with negative results. #11293
