Dec 15 – Oakley 1,000 Plant Marijuana Bust
On Friday December 15, 2023, around 2:46PM members of our Special Services Team saw a suspect enter a home on the 400 block of Malicoat Avenue. Our Special Services Team suspected this location was being used for the cultivation of marijuana. A search warrant was executed at the location and a suspect was taken into custody. The search warrant also yielded marijuana plants in different stages of growth and lots of equipment associated with indoor growing operations. A total of 1,075 plants and 25 pounds of processed marijuana were seized.
DA Report Says Oakley Use of Force Justified in Shooting Death of Frank Correa
The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office’s report on the use of force death of 58-year-old Frank Correa in Oakley is now publicly available. The Contra Costa District Attorney’s legal analysis of the totality of the circumstances determined the officer’s use of deadly force on August 25th was justified and lawful. No further action will be taken in this case. — full story
Oakley: Murder and Firearm Assault Charges Filed Against Sean Karp
Martinez, California – The Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office has formally charged 18 year-old Sean Karp with murder, firearm assault, and related enhancements in connection with the shooting death of 16-year-old Ke’Marion Tucker in Oakley on October 21st.
A complaint filed in Superior Court in Martinez charges Sean Karp with one count of murder, with an enhancement for intentionally discharging a firearm. Karp faces three counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm with enhancements pertaining to the use of a firearm (handgun) and inflicting great bodily harm on three individuals. — full story
