At 4:02 pm Thursday, the Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vegetation fire along in Bay Point along Mcacvoy near Port Chicago.
The incident resulted in a cloud of smoke being sent into the air and picked up on local cameras (see photo).
Crews were able to gain control the of blaze as it was along the railroad tracks with crews knocking down the head of the fire by 4:20 pm.
By 4:31 pm, the railroad tracks were reopened after it was determined there was no damages.
