The following Richmond Police Calls are for March 4-10.  These are the dates and recaps reported by Richmond Police. Police reported 1,921 calls for service with 34 arrests and 11 vehicle crashes.

Below is an overview of significant service activity provided by RPD patrol officers during their scheduled shifts. Please note that activity shared in these segments are provided only as an overview, and do not reflect the entirety of service calls and reports taken throughout each shift.

3/4 – STOLEN VEHICLE /RECOVERY: Officers responded to a Flock notification for a stolen vehicle in the area. A records check confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen. Officers located the vehicle and observed the passenger discard a plastic bag later found to contain narcotics. The driver of the vehicle was found to have three outstanding warrants for his arrest. Both occupants of the vehicle were arrested. #2184

3/4 – STOLEN VEHICLE/RECOVERY: Officers responded to a Flock notification for a stolen vehicle in the area. A records check confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen. Officers located the vehicle occupied and the driver of the vehicle was arrested without incident. #2191

3/4 – NEGLIGENT DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM:  Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 700 block of Carlson Blvd. Officers found numerous casings at the scene. No victims were located and no property appeared to have been struck by gunfire. #2196

3/6 – ROBBERY: Officers responded to the 200 block of Macdonald Ave for a report of a robbery. Officers learned the victim was standing in line when a struggle ensued with the suspect over the victim’s suitcase. The suspect pushed the victim to the ground and fled with the victim’s suitcase. The victim was uninjured. Officers conducted an area check with negative results. #2269

3/6 – CARRY LOADED FIREARM: Officers conducted an enforcement stop in the area of 16th St & Macdonald Ave. The suspects failed to yield and immediately collided with a parked car. During the course of their investigation, officers located two loaded firearms inside the vehicle. Both suspects were arrested without incident. #2311

3/8 – STOLEN VEHICLE/RECOVERY: Officers responded to a Flock notification for a stolen vehicle in the area. A records check confirmed the vehicle was reported stolen. Officers located the vehicle occupied and conducted an enforcement stop. The driver of the vehicle was arrested without incident. #2355

3/8 – ARMED ROBBERY: Officers responded to the area of Richmond Pkwy and Hilltop Dr for a report of a robbery. Officers learned the victim was involved in a collision with the suspect when the suspect pointed a firearm and demanded money. Officers conducted an area check with negative results. #2348

3/9 – NEGLIGENT DISCHARGE OF A FIREARM: Officers responded to a ShotSpotter activation in the 4700 block of Hartnett Ave. Officers found numerous casings at the scene. No victims were located and no property appeared to have been struck by gunfire. #2393
