The following Richmond Police Calls are for May 13-19 .  These are the dates and recaps reported by Richmond Police. Police reported 1896 calls for service with 35 arrests and 28 vehicle crashes.

Below is an overview of significant service activity provided by RPD patrol officers during their scheduled shifts. Please note that activity shared in these segments are provided only as an overview, and do not reflect the entirety of service calls and reports taken throughout each shift.

5/14 – RECOVERED STOLEN VEHICLE: Officers responded to a report of a stolen vehicle in the 1400 block of Chanslor Ave. Upon arrival, Officers attempted to contact a suspect inside the stolen vehicle but the suspect fled on foot and secreted himself inside a residence. Subsequently, three occupants of the residence exited after officers made PA announcements. During the course of their investigation, officers located 3 stolen vehicles, one firearm, multiple printers, vehicle programmers/scanners, hundreds of vehicle keys and key fobs, a key cutter machine and multiple stolen ID’s. All three suspects were arrested without incident.

5/15 – SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Officers responded to a ShotSpotter investigation in the area of 5th and Chanslor. Upon arrival, officers located a victim at the scene. With the assistance of another Law Enforcement Agency, the suspect was located and taken into custody. #4908

5/15 – ASSAULT W/FIREARM: Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun in the 1500 block of Cutting Blvd. Upon arrival, officers learned a group of subjects were involved in a physical fight when the suspect produced a firearm. This investigation is ongoing. #4939

5/16 – RECKLESS DRIVING: Officers responded to the 1300 block of Canal Blvd for reports of sounds of possible sideshow activity. Officers located a vehicle and conducted an enforcement stop for reckless driving. The driver of the vehicle was cited and the vehicle was impounded. #4967

5/16 – STOLEN VEHICLE/RECOVERY: Officers responded to a Flock notification for a stolen vehicle in the area. Officers located the vehicle occupied and conducted an enforcement stop. The driver of the vehicle was taken into custody without incident. #4975

5/18 – SHOOTING INVESTIGATION: Officers responded to the 2000 block of Gaynor Ave for a report of a shooting. Officers located one victim suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a nearby hospital. This investigation is ongoing. #5025

5/18 – STOLEN VEHICLE/RECOVERY: Officers responded to a Flock notification for a stolen vehicle in the area. Officers located the vehicle occupied and conducted an enforcement stop. A records check revealed the suspect had an outstanding warrant for her arrest. The suspect was arrested without incident. #5028

5/19 – BRANDISHING A FIREARM: Officers responded to a report of a person with a gun. Officers learned the suspect brandished a firearm from a vehicle. Through the use of Flock, Officers were able to find the suspect vehicle’s last Flock hit. Officers circulated the area and located the suspect vehicle occupied by the suspect. The suspect was arrested without incident. #5033

5/19 – BRANDISHING A FIREARM/POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM: Officers responded to the 500 block of 21st St for a report of a brandishing of a firearm. As officers were talking to the reporting party, the suspect exited his residence and began walking towards his vehicle. The suspect was taken into custody without incident. During the course of their investigation, officers recovered a firearm, ammunition and an extended magazine. #5046
